Wednesday, July 3rd, Frankfurt. LAZER’S VERDE KINETICORE has won the EUROBIKE Green award for most remarkable product innovation in the field of sustainability.
Verde KinetiCore is Lazer’s sustainable urban helmet ready for a circular future. It follows a circular design, based on the principles of reducing, reusing, and recycling materials. The complete helmet is made up of a limited amount of components and uses recycled materials wherever possible. A minimum of 70% of the helmet's weight is made of recycled materials. Thanks to the EcoLoc, the user is able to easily disassemble the helmet at the end of its life. Simply unlock, look for the stamps on the different materials and sort correctly at home.
The EUROBIKE awards are the most important awards in the cycling industry. A high-caliber jury of experts selected the winners from around 300 submissions from 35 countries. When reviewing LAZER’s entry they stated “Verde KinetiCore helmet excels in sustainability and material reduction. It’s an environmentally conscious helmet that addresses not only protection but also emphasises sustainability.” As a result of this, Verde KinetiCore is the sole Green Award winner at EUROBIKE highlighting its sustainable approach.
“We are well aware that the production of a helmet will always have an impact on the environment, but we do strive to reduce this impact. This new helmet is a step in the right direction for Lazer. Our journey on this path – will not end with Verde KinetiCore.” – Peter Duynslaeger, CEO Lazer.
