The new PRO Stealth Superlight is lighter than the original, and maintains its predecessor’s comfort and performance
Forged around a handmade, single piece, carbon base and rails the PRO Stealth Superlight Saddle is not only PRO’s lightest cycling saddle—it is also exceptionally comfortable. Designed for competitive road cyclists, for whom weight is of vital importance, the saddle encourages a forward position to allow riders to hold an aerodynamic position more comfortably.
The evolved 2024 version is lighter than the original Stealth Superlight, while maintaining its predecessor’s comfort and performance enabling abilities.
“The PRO Stealth Saddle range feature PRO’s most popular saddles. Cyclists love the saddles for their comfort as well as the way they encourage you into a more aggressive and aerodynamic position on the bike. The PRO Stealth Superlight marks the pinnacle of this range and is designed for the most competitive of road riders.
If you are looking to shave grams off your bespoke custom bike build, a PRO Stealth Superlight Saddle is the way to go.Niek Verbakel, Marketing Manager, PRO
Developed in-house at PRO’s global head office, in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, the PRO product team made even more weight savings by updating the lay-up of the handmade carbon base. Combined with the precise distribution of exceptionally lightweight padding – based on pressure mapping data, in collaboration with PRO’s sister-brand bikefitting – the team shaved 15 grams off what is already an exceptionally light saddle.
“Not only is it exceptionally light, but it is also remarkably comfortable for such a lightweight saddle,” Verbakel confirmed.
The PRO Stealth Superlight Saddle utilizes the proven Stealth design, with a large anatomic fit cut-out and wide nose. These elements combine to allow riders to tilt forward in the saddle, without developing soft-tissue discomfort, thereby enabling an exceptionally aerodynamic position on the bike.
Comfort is further enhanced by using a super lightweight, yet dense, EVA padding. Durability is ensured by the robust PU cover, providing a long lifespan and minimizing friction with cycling bib shorts. The PU cover also stops the PRO Stealth Superlight Saddle’s padding from absorbing water, which would in turn increase the saddle’s weight during use.
The PRO Stealth Superlight Saddle is available in two widths: 142- or 152-millimetres and tips the scales at just 130 grams.

About Shimano
Shimano’s origins began in 1921 when Shimano Iron Works, the predecessor of Shimano Inc., was established by Shozaburo Shimano in Sakai city, Osaka, Japan. The first product was the bicycle freewheel, which, at that time, required the highest level of bicycle technology to produce.
By the 1950s the company was producing products such as external speed changers and internal speed changers (3-speed hub). The success of these products led to Shimano’s first overseas sales office, Shimano American Corporation (currently Shimano North America Holding, Inc.) in 1965, followed by Shimano Europe in 1973. The first overseas manufacturing base, Shimano Singapore Pte. Ltd., also opened in the same year.
In 1991, the company name became Shimano Inc. Its headquarters remain in Sakai, the city of Shimano’s birthplace.
